It was great seeing so many of our parents at Back to School Night this week. I hope you enjoyed the evening and were able to learn a little more about your child(ren)’s school year. As the new school year is in full swing, I wanted to take the time to remind you of the importance of timely and consistent attendance at school. This is vitally important to your child's academic, social, and emotional success. It is certainly understandable that some absences and tardies are unavoidable. However, please make every effort to have your child on time for school and ready to learn each day. Whenever possible, schedule appointments, trips, or other obligations outside of school hours and make attendance at school a priority.
Several extracurricular activities for our 4th and 5th-grade students have recently started or will be starting soon. If you missed registration or information on any of these activities, please reach out to the advisor noted below.
Studio Art for Grades 4-5 will be starting next week before school. We have had a high number of students interested. If your child is registered, please look out for an email from Mrs. Boyle with more information as to when your child is scheduled. Reach out to her with any questions. (dboyle@wyckoffschools.org)
Safety Patrol for 5th grade started this week. Reach out to Ms. Reitano at creitano@wyckoffschools.org with questions.
Instrumental music for students in grades 4-5 will be starting next week. You should have responded to Mr. Weidman or Mr. Vetrero to sign up for your child. Student Council will be starting shortly for students in grades 4-5. An Information Session will be held next Thursday, 9/28 at 8:20 AM in the MPR. Please reach out to the advisors Mrs. Pennino (apennino@wyckoffschools.org) or Mrs. Turtoro (jturturo@wyckoffschools.org) with any questions.
Intramurals for 5th grade students will begin towards the end of October and a session for 4th grade students will be scheduled later this year. Be on the lookout for more information about this program. If you have questions please reach out to our PE Teacher Mrs. McCurry (cmccurry@wyckoffschools.org). Intramurals take place immediately after school.
