7th Grade Scoliosis Screening
In March of every year the 7th graders will be screened for scoliosis by the nurse or physical education teachers, as per N. J. S. A. 18A: 40-4.3. Scoliosis is a condition where the spine may curve to the left or right. It is most commonly found during the period of rapid growth. The purpose of the screening is to recognize scoliosis in its earliest stages. Girls may wear a bathing suit top, camisole or bra. Please be sure your daughter is prepared. Boys will be required to remove their shirts. All 7th grade students will be screened during their phys ed class. If you do not want your child screened by the school faculty, please alert the school nurse in writing.
Screenings will be done on 3/18/2024 and 3/19/2024
The Amazing Race is coming! On Friday, March 15th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be able to participate in the Amazing Race. Groups of 3 or 4 should sign up and get ready for a night of fun. Students will compete in 7 events that are either academic, athletic, silly or all three! The cost to attend is $20 per student. 50% of the money raised goes to the top three winning teams' chosen charities (charity list will be provided). The remaining 50% goes to pizza, ice cream, prizes and event supplies. Students interested must complete one team form - due by Friday, March 8th. Each participant must turn in a permission slip due the night of the event. Start putting together your teams and get ready for some fun!
